SORM is not something new and similar systems are historically implemented in networks worldwide, including, Kazakhstan. Kcell strictly complies with current legislation of Kazakhstan and follows all regulations and provisions.
However, Kcell as well as entire Telia group and all leading operators in the world have number of policies related with freedom of expression, investments and transparency. All types of information that goes into the area of above-mentioned policies, are subject to disclosure to investors and all interested parties.
There are a number of legislative norms in Kazakhstan regulations the activity of operators in area of SORM. The SORM regulation in Kazakhstan is public and Kcell appreciate dialogue with Government regarding the complicated and sensitive matter. Technical Regulations of SORM, which comes into the legal force in 2018, also went through similar dialogue with all related parties acting in the territory of Kazakhstan.
