More than one thousand people have become listeners of educational courses on the OpenU.kz. Open University of Kazakhstan educational platform. As of January, 10, 2018 the number of registered listeners of the OpenU.kz online platform has reached 1013 people. According to Executive Director of the Ulttyk Audarma Byurosy Social Fund, this project allows to Kazakh people gaining knowledge in scientific and technical field and other popular disciplines. Open-U reflects our mission better than anything \u2014 \u00abqualitative education accessible for everybody. Establishment of the platform of the Open University is not an end in itself; it is the instrument for provision of quality and accessibility of knowledge, the instrument which is getting better and more accessible every day. Educational online platform \u00abOpen University of Kazakhstan\u00bb offers to its listeners lectures on mathematics, physics, informatics and also on such narrow areas as business planning and administration, web-programming, development of automated devices, modeling in difficult programming languages. Basics of programming using Java language, Basics of web-programming, and Robotics have become the most popular lectures among listeners. Almost 80 % of the unique online content of the platform is represented in Kazakh language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev, Kazakh British Technical University (KBTU), Almaty Management University (AlmaU), University named after S. Demirel (SDU), Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling became partners of the Open University of Kazakhstan educational platform. Leading teachers of these universities took part in development of materials for these lectures. The Kcell company became the main partner of this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00abWe are glad that OpenU.kz is very popular among Kazakh people. It means that courses placed on this platform are really demanded and useful. I would like to mention great interest to free educational IT content in state language. It means that the project has been fulfilled and Kazakh people are ready to receive education through open digital platforms. OpenU.kz platform was established on the basis of Open edX, the software with open source code, which was developed by the tandem of the world leading Universities \u2014 Harvard University and Massachusetts technological Institute. Online courses being learned throughout the year will be also available on the updated platform.
