Kcell won the Silver Award for outstanding achievements in the telecommunications industry at the world's largest contest of LACP Vision Awards 2012 annual reports.
Commenting on this achievement, Ali Agan, CEO of Kcell JSC, said: "Silver Award in LACP Vision Awards 2012 for outstanding achievements in the telecommunications industry is a significant international acknowledgment of absolute leadership of Kcell at the Kazakhstani telecommunications market. The LACP Vision Awards in 2012 annual reports contest has attracted the largest number of organizations of all sizes from various industries. Over 6,000 organizations in more than 20 countries have applied to participate in it making the competition extremely fierce.
The LACP Vision Awards is participated by companies from all industries - from China Telecom to Walmart. Global industrial giants and companies with smaller operations compete with similar companies by size, number of staff and turnover for the recognition of their achievements.
Assessment is based on a number of criteria. Ratings are determined on a point system of evaluation that takes into account a number of factors that measure the effectiveness of communication materials. Vision Awards is awarded for the best annual report in the last twelve months. It is awarded under five levels, including a "platinum", "gold", "silver", "bronze", etc.

In June of this year Kcell was the winner in the nomination "Best IPO in Central and Eastern Europe" in 2012 by the EMEA Finance*. This is the first international award, which was received by Kazakhstani company involved in IPO outside of Kazakhstan in the last 5 years.
