Kcell has received the International Health and Safety Standard Certification

 

Kcell Company has received a certificate of conformity to OHSAS 18001:2007 - the international occupational safety standard of the British Standards Institution, the developer of this document. This certificate confirms that the work carried out by employees of Kcell JSC and contractors of the Company complies with the highest international standards in the field of health and safety.

OHSAS 18001:2007 is an international occupational safety and health management standard. The main criterion of this certificate of conformity is the existence and effective operation of the system of management and control over occupational health and safety of employees. Therefore, in order to obtain this certificate, Kcell has improved a number of processes within the company, has developed a special procedure in accordance with the international health and safety standards.

In the process of preparation and obtaining the certificate, Kcell experts have developed and implemented an "Occupational Safety and Health Policy", identified and assessed the risks and took remedial actions, including sequential personnel training.

Certificate OHSAS 18000:2007 is issued for the period of 3 years with a supervisory audit conducted each year to confirm compliance of the management system with the requirements established by this standard. Re-audit is carried out after 3 years from the date of issue of the certificate. This standard applies to companies with any number of employees, but it is especially relevant to companies with a large staff and working environment that is hazardous to humans and capable of causing harm.

Until 1999, there was no single international standard in the system of protection of life and health, which could serve as a measure of quality for businesses and companies worldwide.

That is exactly why the British Standards Institute has developed the OHSAS 18001 – “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Specifications”. OHSAS standard is implemented in many global multinational companies.
