The project provides the Kazakhs with the opportunity to become a part of the largest humanitarian movement in the world, and to help fellow citizens in areas of natural disasters and man-made disasters. To make a donation, Kcell or activ subscribers should simply send any non-empty message to number 9777. The cost of one SMS is 200 tenge.
Donations will be collected as to help the Kazakhs in areas of natural disasters as to form the humanitarian aid warehouses under the control of “Red Crescent”.
“We are often confronted with the fact that a large number of people, especially in the situation with the flood in the Karaganda region, or mudslide last year in Almaty, come to us, offering to help the victims. Now to render such a help will be much easier.
A special number to raise funds for humanitarian assistance will operate constantly, and every citizen of Kazakhstan at a convenient time for him (her) time will be able to support compatriots. This is a very important project for our country”, – noted Director General of “Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan” NGO Elena Kim.
