Results of the nationwide vote «El tulgasy» («The Name of the Motherland»)

The multimedia portal «Exclusive», supported by Kcell and Akimat of the city of Almaty, summed up the results of the nationwide vote «El tulgasy» («The Name of the Motherland»). The awarding ceremony for winners took place on December the 14th at the threshold of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The project has been going on for five months and took place between August and December 2016. Over 403 thousand people, which is about four times more than in the first ballot in 2012, took part in the vote.

The greatest number of votes were cast in the categories «Proposed candidates» – more than 63 thousand people, «Personality in the history of Kazakhstan» – more than 57 thousand people, «Sports» – above 53 thousand people, «New name» – more than 47 thousand people, «Art and culture» – more than 47 thousand, «Public activity» – more than 46 thousand, «Science» – more than 46 thousand, «Business» – more than 40 thousand people. Each category included ten Kazakhstanis, who have achieved some success in their field and have become known in our country.

It is worth to remind that the idea of the project is to select the most notable Kazakhstanis, whose activities, achievements and creativity in social activities, arts and culture, business, sports and science form the image of independent Kazakhstan.
