In July, the Internet – traffic in the network of mobile operator Kcell exceeded for the first time 2 million gigabytes in Astana. In Almaty, this indicator accounted for 1.8 million GB. Whereupon, this is accompanied by the growth of the data flow rate provided by the operator. The average speed of the mobile Internet in the last month amounted to 2659 kb/sec in Almaty and 2302 kb/sec in Astana.
The quality of communication of Kcell is proved by the results of the July drive – test. Radio Engineers of the Company drove through 7700 kilometers, measuring the quality of communication of Kcell in the cities of Atyrau, Kostanai, Rudny, Temirtau, Saran and Balkhash. The best average data rate (Downlink) was recorded in Balkhash – 7.09 megabits per second. The maximum speed of the Internet from Kcell in certain areas of these cities amounted to 40.6 Mbit/sec. The best indicator of voice communication last month was observed in Atyrau and amounted to 4.06 of 5 maximum points according to the international algorithm POLQA (it was rated by the scale from 1 to 5).
In July 2016, the Company installed 24 new base stations, of which – 9 stations maintain the 2G standard and 15 stations – the 3G standard in the cities of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, Semey, Khromtau and Shchuchinsk.
Karamendy villagers (4 694 persons) in the Kostanai region since the last month found it possible to use the Internet services in the network of Kcell. A new base station of the 3G standard was installed there, and the receipt of the 2G signal was amplified as well.
The total volume of the Internet – traffic in the operator’s network (the entire of Kazakhstan) amounted to 10,636,509 gigabytes with a maximum speed of 42 megabits per second in some locations.
