«This year there is a special theme for us, and it appears not at once, since the issues, that we wanted to raise, are quite complicated for awareness. In particular we were concerned about gaps, existing in society, misunderstanding and hidden sides that we don’t know. As it is known, hidden sides provoke fear, and human, when he is afraid, tends to be shut-in person. For that reason the current theme was formulated as „Aidyn argy beti“, because we want to look beyond the fear. We want to create community of people, who are open to new things» — noted Larissa Pak, supervisor of the TEDxAlmaty, in her speech.
More than 3 thousand people could be inspired by ideas, which are worthy of spread, from Kazakhstan and international speakers for 7 years of holding the conference in Almaty. Thousands more people watched the best video performances from those events. On this conference around 500 participants became listeners of 12 lectures of speakers from the different spheres of activities: from basic sciences to music.
