The week of lectures Vласть Update Almaty was held from 13 to 18 November in Almaty city. Every day was dedicated to a separate topic- economics, business, politics, technology, education and creativity. The Kcell Company acted as the general partner of the event.
Arti Ots, Chief Executive Officer of the Kcell JSC and Vadim Liu, Director of the Business-market Department have been represented among number of speakers of the week of lectures.
It is not the best period in history of Telecom-companies, but precisely the critical moments are the catalyst for growth and development. Explosive growth of the mobile traffic and IT-technology, customer’s desire to take more, better and not expensive, the increasing impact of content provider on operators- they are not all challenges, that telecom-companies have to face. How such conditions effect on development, and what steps shall be taken to solve problems, told Arti Ots.
In his opinion, firstly, telecommunications shall not be considered exclusively as the communications provider. The involvement of clients is increased through cooperation with partners from other spheres and provision of additional products. Secondly, application of innovative technology. Therefore, in 2017, Telia, the Parent company of Kcell, jointly with Ericsson and Intel conducted first tests of 5G networks, which can be used for control over industrial devices and processes in the sphere of production, medicine and etc. Thirdly, Customer’s opinion and desire is always in priority. That is why it is necessary to invest to the company for quality improvement of provided services.
Vadim Liu gave speech at the day of business and shared his own experience and advices related to the way to keep focus on the main thing to lead the business to the success.
Vadim explained, how 4 simple rules would help to improve the work process of one person and company in general, based on The 4 Disciplines of Execution: Achieving Your Wildly Important Goals book. “First of all, you shall determine critically important. Secondly, you shall be governed by advancing indicators. Advancing indicators are the actions, the execution of which depends on you and will lead, if not to the achievement of the goal, but to the situation improvement.
Keep statistics of received results: what has been done, and what has not. If you fail to do something you shall find out the reason which discourages you and the ways to prevent the situation in the future. Fourthly, keep the reporting schedule. For example, periodic meetings for discussion only goals and ways of their achievement.
For 6-day period on the event, fifteen speakers gave speeches, whose lections were visited by 500 participants approximately.
