During only the first hour of 2018 Kcell and Activ subscribers used more than 30 thousand GB of Internet-traffic. This amount is 37% higher than for the same period in 2017. About 40% out of total volume of the traffic was used only in the 4G/LTE network.
During the first hour of New Year subscribers of the Kcell made about 12mln. calls and sent about 450 thousands SMS. It is worth to notice that the amount of calls decreased by 14% in comparison to last year, and the amount of SMS by 28%.

There is an increase of the Internet-traffic in the Kcell network in comparison to last year. I would like to note, that transfer of data in the fourth generation network has tripled. The increase is connected to the fact that, on average, every subscriber uses the mobile Internet more and more and with a heavier content», noticed Natalya Eskova, Head of the Communication Division of the Kcell JSC.
During the New Year night total amount of the Internet-traffic equaled to 556 thousand GB, 226 thousand of which were used only in the 4G/LTE network. Traffic in the fourth generation network compared to last year has increased by 64%. It is worth to notice that the percentage of successful dial-ups on December 31 and in the first hours of New Year showed a level above 99 percent.
During the New Year holidays from December 31 to January 2, Kcell and Activ subscribers used more than 1.9 mln GB and made more than 209 mln calls.
