Republican education project – Digital Life of the Kcell Company started in 2015 and about 8 thousand people from 17 cities of Kazakhstan participated in it in three years. 298 free master-classes were conducted. Mobile media, Mobile security, Mobile education, Mobile government, Mobile business, SMM for business, Apashki, atashki and smartphone course are the most popular master-classes of 14 themes of the Digital Life project.
The purpose of the Digital Life project is to acquaint Kazakhstan citizens with opportunities and advantages, which smartphones and mobile applications offer for their daily life. Schoolchildren and their parents, students, representatives of small and medium business, journalists, bloggers and even pensioners became participants of master-classes and courses.
Apashki, atashki and smartphone
This course became extremely popular just since publication of the first announcement. Adult generation, starting from the age of 50 and older learned to use smartphones to break the “digital barrier”. The oldest participant of this course was 83 years old.
In classes of the courses, participants, Kazakhstan pensioners, for the first time created accounts in social networks, learned to download applications for smartphones and tablets, create groups in messengers, and, of course, to communicate! Due to classes, Natalya Zotovna Voronina from Kostanay now pays utilities online, and Alfiya Khamitovna Davletgireyeva learned to make video calls, send voice messages, take photos and make videos on her smartphone.
I am 55. I work. There was a situation when my colleague asked me to send photo of the document by WhatsApp. I have a smartphone, but to respond the request I had to ask young colleagues. And is not always comfortable. Due to 5-day courses I found out that smartphones were created to make our lives easier. Social networks, applications for learning, photo and video of important moments – it’s all in our pocket”, – shared experience Gulnara Mirashevna Manepova from Aktobe.
For three years of project’s work 500 pensioners from 14 cities of Kazakhstan visited the training Apashki, atashki and smartphone.
Mobile education
Mobile technologies provide unique opportunities for learning and self-development. Hundreds of students, schoolchildren and teachers form 16 cities of Kazakhstan learned how to find courses on specialties of interest to them thorough mobile applications in smartphones, in which applications it is comfortable to learn foreign languages. I learned of many applications, and would like to use them in future. Now we are having the subject Television and radio journalism, we edit very often, and today I learned of applications, in which it is possible to assemble the video. It is also important for me to learn languages. Due to today’s training I found out that it is necessary to learn English, you can get nowhere without it. There are also applications for learning of English. It’s so cool. And it’s an advantage for my future development. I also liked VR-glasses very much. Thank you for this opportunity”, – said Rizanur Kassenova, student of the 1st course of the Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov.
Mobile security
This master-class gave information how to secure your child from threats of external and virtual environment, how to help yourself in dangerous situations with using mobile technologies. At the master-class trainers taught adults to use the systems of tracking of position of children, told us how to use the service Parental control from the Kcell and isolate children from content for adults.
The material about the application Parental control, presented at the parent’s conference is very appropriate, ongoing and absolutely essential to establish children’s’ security. The information was presented in accessible form, vividly, interesting. Parents acted as active participants: asked many questions. We appreciate for educational work after the training! SMM for business
Due to this master-class any interested person could learn how to use contemporary technologies for advertisement and promotion of their goods thorough social networks and the internet. Participants of the course received skills of writing of commercial texts, learned market analysis with usage of mobile applications, acquainted with promotion in social networks and with project management systems. Trainers told how to sell and buy goods thorough the internet, how to order air tickets quickly, how to plan tasks and reserve accommodation, how to increase personal effectiveness.
“Master class – SMM for business was very useful. Now I will pay more attention to development of my business in the internet and attract customers with its help, as my main target audience is women, who will be interested in our services”, – noted Esseniya Sabitova, Director of the Esseniya beauty salon in Petropavlovsk.
School of digital volunteers
Although a three-year project has been concluded it was important for the Kcell to spread further the knowledge on effective use of smart phones and mobile application. That is why the Company has trained 82 volunteers, who are able to conduct courses and master-classes and transfer useful information to those, who want to be a part of the digital world. Graduates of the Digital-volunteers School from Astana and Pavlodar have already taken part in organization and conduction of Apashki, atashki and smartphone and Mobile security courses in their cities.
It was interesting for me to find out how trainings are conducted. Besides, it was important for me to find out how to bring information to a person, make him trust you and believe in information you tell. How to deal with all doubts, all “But” and “Against”, how to listen to everyone, and their points of view. At second it is important experience for me and for other participants of the course” – said Sergey Colpaidikov, digital volunteer from Shymkent.At the start of the project we wanted to share with the Kazakhstan people those endless opportunities of increasing quality of life, which mobile technologies and smart phones provide. It was important for us, that participants of our master classes learned all kinds of smart phones’ functions and started using them in their life. For 3 years of work conducted 430 master classes and courses in 17 cities of our country. More than 7 thousand people learned to use smart phones effectively to improve their health, in studies, in bringing up of children, in business and in many other aspects of life. For three years we helped hundreds of older people to discover how easy, exciting and interesting it is to communicate via digital communication technologies.
