Kazakhstan businessshall bechangedif it wants to find its niche in the global economy. Moreover, these changes shall regardnot only to goods and services, but also to the management model. This was discussed at Kcell Innovation Management,a business seminar that was conducted by the mobile operator for its corporate customerswithinits 20th anniversary.
According to Anna Obukhova, managing partner of the ScrumTrek (Russian company specializing in the implementation of agile solutions), transformation of business processes is global trend, and it is related with the digitalization of the global economy. At the same time, how the speaker noted, any such transformation is always a risk, since no one can guarantee a positive market reaction.
«We live in the changeable, uncertain, difficult, unclear world. Now we are going through the fourth technological revolution. In the coming decades, 50% of the equipment will be replaced, and our brain can simply not be ready to accept to these changes. Every time, working with a person, working with an open market, where there is free will and choice, we will need to conduct small experiments in order to come from point „A“ to point „B“. In this world, we will have to work like an autopilot on an airplane: all the time we will have to check whether we are going to or having gone astray by some 2 percent that will lead us the other way» mentioned expert of the ScrumTrek.
According to Anna Obukhova, what is important now is not the thoroughness of the product development, but how soon it can appear on the market. After all, by that time, having gone through all the bureaucratic procedures within the company, executed test launches, etc., by the date of its official release, it could hopelessly become outdated. Therefore, the internal optimization of companies shall facilitate making fast decisions and expand the possibility for experiments.
«When we try to convince ourselves that people are predictable and behave them like we programmed them — this is a serious mistake. As well as the fact that we can offer people what they absolutely surely will buy, and they absolutely will like it. Practically all modern product solutions are failed on that,» emphasized Anna Obukhova.
In turn, Vadim Lyu, Business Development Director of Kcell JSC, told about how the transformation, including in the management field, had impacted on the company’s business. Currently more than 60% of the company’s corporate segment revenue is not communication services, but various business solutions.
«We have chosen the way where our main strength is business solutions at the junction of telecommunications and IT. We realize that if we combine our efforts with partners, then we will become not twice, but three times better. This is the case with services on the base of the Internet of Things, mobile finance, data monetization. Yes, there is no huge amount of money here, but there is a lot of potential. We have an internal startup team that works over these directions. This allows us to reduce many bureaucratic procedures as much as possible and provides a possibility for quick experiments,» told Vadim Lyu.
